“Helping small business owners make sense of their taxes while reducing overall burden.”

William Graf, CPA, EA, is a Tax Supervisor at WCG with seven years of professional experience preparing returns and supporting tax plans. Guided early on by his grandfather, also a CPA, William was drawn to accounting for its versatility and its foundational role in business. Today, he focuses on helping clients feel confident that their tax responsibilities are fully handled.

Professional Background & Expertise

At WCG, William prepares tax returns and completes the initial review of both returns and tax plans, helping ensure work is accurate, thorough, and aligned with client goals. His structured approach supports dependable outcomes across engagements.

He particularly enjoys working with small business owners and preparing rental property returns, while remaining energized by the opportunity to learn about new industries with each engagement. This curiosity helps him bring fresh perspective to the clients he serves.

Education & Credentials

William graduated from the University of San Diego with a degree in Accounting and Finance. He is both a licensed CPA in Texas and an Enrolled Agent, reinforcing his technical expertise in taxation.

He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), reflecting his ongoing commitment to professional standards.

Client-Focused Philosophy

William enjoys partnering with small business owners to answer tax questions and provide reassurance that their needs are under control. His goal is to remove as much of the tax burden as possible so clients can focus their energy on growing their businesses rather than worrying about compliance.

Professional Values

  • Accuracy in every return
  • Proactive tax planning
  • Helping minimize client tax burden
  • Supporting confident decision-making

Life Beyond the Office

William grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he spent his childhood riding bikes and playing baseball. He later served as a coxswain on his rowing teams in both high school and college—an experience that reinforced leadership and teamwork.

Today, he is married to his wife, Shelby, and they share their home with a talkative corgi named Eddy. Outside of work, William enjoys paddle boarding on Lady Bird Lake, playing pickleball, and gathering with friends and family for board games.

A Skill for the Unexpected

William can juggle—an uncommon talent that reflects both coordination and focus, qualities that also show up in the thoughtful, balanced approach he brings to his professional work.

Our Amazing Team Members

Wanna Talk About Your Small Business?

Please use the form below to tell us a little about yourself, and what you have going on with your small business or 1099 contractor gig. WCG CPAs & Advisors are small business CPAs, tax professionals and consultants, and we look forward to talking to you!

We typically schedule a 20-minute complimentary quick chat with one of our Partners or Senior Tax Professionals to determine if we are a good fit for each other, and how an engagement with our team looks. Tax returns only? Business advisory? Tax prep, and more importantly tax strategy and planning?

Should we need to schedule an additional consultation, our fee is $250 for 40 minutes. Fun! If we decide to press forward with a Business Advisory or Tax Patrol Services engagement, we will credit the consultation fee towards those services.

Appointments are typically held through Microsoft Teams and are scheduled on weekdays during the work day. Yes, we can easily accommodate nights and weekends, but those are reluctantly agreed to after some eye-rolling and complaining. Additionally, our schedules are more compressed during tax season (who would have thought, right?).

Shockingly we will return all appointment requests via email with 24-36 hours weather-permitting, or perhaps a phone call (if the moment strikes us). No black holes here! In a hurry, please call us at 719-387-9800.
