April Neukam, CPA

Tax Supervisor

“Proactive tax guidance rooted in accuracy, integrity, and real-world insight.”

April Neukam, CPA, is a Tax Supervisor specializing in tax preparation, tax planning, and advisory services for individuals, small businesses, and rental property owners.

Professional Background & Expertise

April began her career working with agricultural clients in rural Indiana, developing extensive experience in farm taxation before expanding her expertise to a broader range of small business and real estate clients.

April is known for her proactive approach to tax planning, helping clients identify opportunities and prepare for future tax obligations rather than simply reacting at filing time.

Education & Credentials

April earned her Bachelor of Science in Business with a concentration in Accounting from Indiana University and is a licensed CPA in the State of Florida.

During her studies, taxation quickly became her favorite area of accounting and ultimately shaped her professional career path. She credits Professor Jeff Byrne for recognizing her natural aptitude for accounting and encouraging her to pursue the profession.

Client-Focused Philosophy

April's approach to working with clients is proactive rather than reactive. She strives to help clients anticipate upcoming tax obligations and opportunities, ensuring effective tax planning and making informed decisions well in advance.

Professional Values

  • Integrity and ethical decision-making
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proactive tax planning
  • Client-centered service
  • Practical and strategic guidance

Life Beyond the Office

Originally from Panama City Beach, Florida, April developed a lifelong love of the outdoors. Growing up, she spent much of her time boating, fishing, waterskiing, and riding horses through the woods. Today, she still enjoys spending time on the water fishing, scalloping, or relaxing at the island. When she’s not outdoors, April enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, especially making sourdough bread, fresh pasta, sauces, and preserving fruits and vegetables.

April is married to her husband and shares her home with their beloved dog, Wheller, along with a few fish companions that keep her company in her office.

A Rare Talent

April has a remarkable ability to recreate restaurant dishes and drinks at home with impressive accuracy. While she may not consider it a rare skill, her husband certainly appreciates the results.

Our Amazing Team Members

Wanna Talk About Your Small Business?

Please use the form below to tell us a little about yourself, and what you have going on with your small business or 1099 contractor gig. WCG CPAs & Advisors are small business CPAs, tax professionals and consultants, and we look forward to talking to you!

We typically schedule a 20-minute complimentary quick chat with one of our Partners or Senior Tax Professionals to determine if we are a good fit for each other, and how an engagement with our team looks. Tax returns only? Business advisory? Tax prep, and more importantly tax strategy and planning?

Should we need to schedule an additional consultation, our fee is $250 for 40 minutes. Fun! If we decide to press forward with a Business Advisory or Tax Patrol Services engagement, we will credit the consultation fee towards those services.

Appointments are typically held through Microsoft Teams and are scheduled on weekdays during the work day. Yes, we can easily accommodate nights and weekends, but those are reluctantly agreed to after some eye-rolling and complaining. Additionally, our schedules are more compressed during tax season (who would have thought, right?).

Shockingly we will return all appointment requests via email with 24-36 hours weather-permitting, or perhaps a phone call (if the moment strikes us). No black holes here! In a hurry, please call us at 719-387-9800.
