“Helping small businesses stay tax compliant.”

Simar Singh Bagga is a Tax Supervisor at WCG who prepares tax returns and assists with planning while supporting clients through practical, real-world guidance. With several years of professional experience, Simar approaches tax work as a balance of theory and application—helping clients understand their responsibilities so they can make informed decisions.

Professional Background & Expertise

At WCG, Simar focuses on preparing tax returns and contributing to tax planning initiatives that help clients remain compliant and organized. His structured approach reinforces accuracy while supporting efficient engagement workflows.

With a professional style rooted in organization and discipline, Simar brings thoughtful attention to detail to each engagement. His ability to categorize and structure information supports both clarity and consistency throughout the tax process.

Education

Simar holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce after completing advanced coursework in Mathematics, Economics, and Accounting prior to college. He has successfully cleared both the US CMA and IRS EA examinations, strengthening his technical foundation in accounting and taxation.

An influential political science professor, Dr. Zahid Hussain, played a meaningful role in shaping Simar’s academic experience and broader perspective.

Life Beyond the Office

Simar grew up in Lucknow in northern India, where academics were a central focus during his childhood. He also participated in extracurricular activities such as singing, drama, and debate, reflecting an early balance between discipline and creative expression.

Outside of work, he has recently taken up photography and maintains a strong interest in cinema and film. Weekends often include spending time with friends playing pool or pickleball, or attending quiet reading sessions in a park while enjoying the early morning sun. He is currently single and has a beloved dog who lives with his parents.

Master of Organization

Simar has an exceptional talent for organizing and labeling both digital and physical spaces, often going the extra mile to create structure wherever it is needed. It’s a natural strength that mirrors the methodical approach he brings to his professional work.

Our Amazing Team Members

Wanna Talk About Your Small Business?

Please use the form below to tell us a little about yourself, and what you have going on with your small business or 1099 contractor gig. WCG CPAs & Advisors are small business CPAs, tax professionals and consultants, and we look forward to talking to you!

We typically schedule a 20-minute complimentary quick chat with one of our Partners or Senior Tax Professionals to determine if we are a good fit for each other, and how an engagement with our team looks. Tax returns only? Business advisory? Tax prep, and more importantly tax strategy and planning?

Should we need to schedule an additional consultation, our fee is $250 for 40 minutes. Fun! If we decide to press forward with a Business Advisory or Tax Patrol Services engagement, we will credit the consultation fee towards those services.

Appointments are typically held through Microsoft Teams and are scheduled on weekdays during the work day. Yes, we can easily accommodate nights and weekends, but those are reluctantly agreed to after some eye-rolling and complaining. Additionally, our schedules are more compressed during tax season (who would have thought, right?).

Shockingly we will return all appointment requests via email with 24-36 hours weather-permitting, or perhaps a phone call (if the moment strikes us). No black holes here! In a hurry, please call us at 719-387-9800.
