Mitchell Wade is an Accounting Services Manager at WCG who prepares and reviews financial statements for a wide range of businesses while serving as a trusted resource for both clients and colleagues. With a steady, collaborative style, Mitchell focuses on helping organizations better understand their financial position so they can operate with clarity.

Professional Background & Expertise

At WCG, Mitchell prepares and reviews financial statements for businesses across industries and helps address accounting questions from coworkers and clients alike. His work supports accurate reporting while ensuring stakeholders have the information needed to make sound decisions.

With extensive experience in accounting and tax environments, Mitchell is known for taking the time to understand each client’s operations and processes before offering guidance. This thoughtful approach allows him to collaborate effectively and deliver practical, well-informed support.

Education

Mitchell began his college career as a Civil Engineering major at the University of North Dakota before discovering an interest in accounting after taking an introductory course. He went on to complete his degree in Accounting at Bemidji State University, building the technical foundation that supports his work today.

Client-Focused Philosophy

Mitchell believes strong client relationships begin with understanding. By learning each client’s needs and business processes, he takes a collaborative approach that encourages open communication and practical problem-solving.

Professional Values

  • Integrity
  • Accuracy
  • Professionalism with a light-hearted perspective
  • Commitment to staying current with accounting and tax rules

Life Beyond the Office

Mitchell grew up in the north woods of Bemidji, Minnesota, where much of his childhood was spent riding bikes, fishing, and snowmobiling. Today, he lives in Colorado Springs with his wife and their four sons and enjoys the lifestyle the area offers.

Outside of work, Mitchell spends time woodworking, playing guitar, and hiking—often taking advantage of Colorado’s extensive trails. His home is also shared with two dogs, Comet and Atlas, who are very much part of the family.

An Ear for Music

Mitchell has the ability to learn certain songs on the guitar by ear, a skill that reflects both patience and attentiveness. It’s a small but telling example of the focus he brings to mastering new challenges.

Our Amazing Team Members

Wanna Talk About Your Small Business?

Please use the form below to tell us a little about yourself, and what you have going on with your small business or 1099 contractor gig. WCG CPAs & Advisors are small business CPAs, tax professionals and consultants, and we look forward to talking to you!

We typically schedule a 20-minute complimentary quick chat with one of our Partners or Senior Tax Professionals to determine if we are a good fit for each other, and how an engagement with our team looks. Tax returns only? Business advisory? Tax prep, and more importantly tax strategy and planning?

Should we need to schedule an additional consultation, our fee is $250 for 40 minutes. Fun! If we decide to press forward with a Business Advisory or Tax Patrol Services engagement, we will credit the consultation fee towards those services.

Appointments are typically held through Microsoft Teams and are scheduled on weekdays during the work day. Yes, we can easily accommodate nights and weekends, but those are reluctantly agreed to after some eye-rolling and complaining. Additionally, our schedules are more compressed during tax season (who would have thought, right?).

Shockingly we will return all appointment requests via email with 24-36 hours weather-permitting, or perhaps a phone call (if the moment strikes us). No black holes here! In a hurry, please call us at 719-387-9800.
