Samantha Templin, CPA

Tax Supervisor

“Finding clarity in complexity and delivering tax guidance clients can rely on.”

Samantha Templin, CPA, is a Tax Supervisor at WCG who prepares returns, develops tax plans, and supports clients with thoughtful, research-backed answers. With a naturally curious mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement, Samantha approaches each engagement with both diligence and perspective.

Professional Background & Expertise

At WCG, Samantha prepares and delivers tax returns and tax plans, answers client and prospect questions, contributes feedback to leadership, and supports firm initiatives that strengthen the overall client experience. Her work reflects both accountability and an active role in promoting the firm’s culture.

Samantha enjoys working across a wide range of return types—including individuals, partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, nonprofits, trusts, and gift tax filings. She appreciates how each return connects to the broader financial picture and values the insight that comes from understanding these relationships.

Education & Credentials

Samantha holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Accounting, with tax coursework among her academic favorites—including Tax I, Tax II, and pass-through entity studies.

She is a member of the Wyoming Society of CPAs and the Wyoming Board of CPAs and continues to expand her expertise through ongoing continuing professional education. During her undergraduate studies, she was recognized with the Outstanding Senior in Accounting award.

Client-Focused Philosophy

Samantha prioritizes listening carefully to client questions and concerns, ensuring she fully understands each situation before offering guidance. Whether conducting research herself or collaborating with colleagues, her goal is to provide accurate answers while making clients feel supported and informed.

Professional Values

  • Hard work and accountability
  • Reliability as a teammate
  • Commitment to continuous learning
  • Striving for excellence while embracing growth

Life Beyond the Office

Samantha grew up in Sacramento, California, where she developed a love for the outdoors through hiking, camping, and fall trips to the pumpkin patch with family dogs.

Outside of work, she continues to seek out time in nature—spending summers hiking, camping, playing Frisbee golf, or heading to the lake, and taking advantage of winter opportunities to snowboard when her schedule allows.

Drawn to the Challenge

Samantha originally began college as an Ag-Business major before discovering accounting through an introductory course. After completing a tax internship, she realized tax offered the variety and intellectual challenge she was looking for—an insight that continues to shape the enthusiasm she brings to her work today.

Our Amazing Team Members

Wanna Talk About Your Small Business?

Please use the form below to tell us a little about yourself, and what you have going on with your small business or 1099 contractor gig. WCG CPAs & Advisors are small business CPAs, tax professionals and consultants, and we look forward to talking to you!

We typically schedule a 20-minute complimentary quick chat with one of our Partners or Senior Tax Professionals to determine if we are a good fit for each other, and how an engagement with our team looks. Tax returns only? Business advisory? Tax prep, and more importantly tax strategy and planning?

Should we need to schedule an additional consultation, our fee is $250 for 40 minutes. Fun! If we decide to press forward with a Business Advisory or Tax Patrol Services engagement, we will credit the consultation fee towards those services.

Appointments are typically held through Microsoft Teams and are scheduled on weekdays during the work day. Yes, we can easily accommodate nights and weekends, but those are reluctantly agreed to after some eye-rolling and complaining. Additionally, our schedules are more compressed during tax season (who would have thought, right?).

Shockingly we will return all appointment requests via email with 24-36 hours weather-permitting, or perhaps a phone call (if the moment strikes us). No black holes here! In a hurry, please call us at 719-387-9800.
