Jason Schneider had his own tax and accounting firm way back in the day, and rented space from WCG when it was Watson CPA Group. This was 2013. Over the course of several years, Jason and Tina Watson have become friends with Jason Schneider, and occasionally discussed combining forces. Either WCG wasn’t ready, or Jason Schneider wasn’t ready, and as such the timing wasn’t ever correct.

Regardless, the dirt bikes were ridden, beer was drunk (doesn’t it sound better to say drank… darn proper english) and campfire stories were told. However, during the past several weeks, the timing has emerged as being the right time and Jason Schneider was retained to be WCG’s next Managing Partner in early August. We are burying the lead a bit since this also includes a merger announcement (read more here).

Jason S, not to be confused with Jason W, brings a ton of excellent experience to WCG and its client base. His approach is very similar… solid tax planning and consultation, with the tax return being the compliance caboose on a year’s worth of client interaction. He also holds the CGMA designation, which according to the cgma.org website “The Chartered Global Management Accountant designation showcases your global value by demonstrating your leadership, people, digital and financial skills. This designation is powered by the AICPA (the American Institute of CPAs) and CIMA, two of the world’s leading accounting organizations.”

Boom! Leadership, people, digital and financial skills. Well, we can certainly use some of that around WCG!
