cpaAccording to “legendary” facts, a 1950s building manager in Manhattan was wrestling with complaints from tenants about long waits for the elevator. Thinking that people were simply bored, he installed floor to ceiling mirrors next to the elevators. Complaints stopped. Regardless of being bored or in a hurry, people generally do not like to wait.

Unlike Disney or a sports event, WCG does not have lines, or queues as the academics would say, that a person can easily see. This presents some challenges, right? A line provides two observations. First, the length of the line and second, the rate at which the line moves. When combined, the brain calculates a waiting time.

In our current world of instant news and instant gratification, our patience for waiting is stressed. Some people don’t care about waiting, yet some people care a great deal. They are willing to pay extra to compress time. The world has responded.

Airlines have priority boarding. Hotels have early check-in for those on the list. Even basic things like paying extra for that overnight delivery… and not just next day, but next day by 10:00AM. Whoa! Pay a few bucks to access the HOV lane so you can get even more work done at the office. Everywhere you look, there are ways to compress time.

WCG has responded as well. Just like Eric Paslay’s song High Class, we want you to “Skip the line baby, Don’t look back, Tonight we high class.”

How? We have CPA Concierge.

Enhanced Access

According to Merriam-Webster, a version of concierge is-

of, relating to, or being a health-care practice (as of primary care physicians) in which patients pay a membership fee for enhanced access and services.

Ok. What about we tweak this a bit to read-

of, relating to, or being a CPA practice (as of business advisors and tax consultants) in which taxpayers pay a membership fee for enhanced access and services.

Ok again. What does this mean? Let’s face it… WCG has queues, and we are generally a first-in, first-out firm when it comes to answering client emails, returning phone calls and preparing tax returns and tax plans.

WCG Way

With CPA Concierge, you get to the front of the line. You and your business (if you have one) go on the list, and everyone at WCG sits up a little taller and has a little bigger spring in their step when they hear it. Your email is returned ahead of others. Your Client Manager will always answer your call even if the office is on fire and there are only seconds to spare. We all have firm cell phones for this exact reason… escaping with our lives while solving a client’s riddle… that’s the WCG way!

Tax return preparation will largely remain first-in, first-out, but we will fast track it should it be necessary such as buying a property, completing college applications, etc. We typically have a fee for fast track tax return preparation but not for those with CPA Concierge.

Sure, this might all sound pretentious. We are talking about taxes and accounting, and not breakfast at Elaine’s in New York (before it closed) or rubbing elbows at Annabel’s in London. We get it! But a handful of our wonderful clients have requested enhanced access and services. Therefore, we have formalized these historical requests into CPA Concierge.

With anything in life, there are limitations and exclusions. Not sure if we can be your travel agent. Tutoring your children might be outside the scope. Then again, picking up dry cleaning might be available.

Our CPA Concierge service is an add-on to our Business Advisory Service and Tax Patrol Service agreements. Our fee starts at $960 per year, which covers most clients. However, you are in control and as such we will design a service level that meets that demand, and the associated reasonable fee.
