Here is a quick list of the business housekeeping documents that are super helpful for the preparation of your business entity tax returns.

  1. Articles of Formation or Incorporation (if you have them, no worries if you do not).
  2. Operating Agreement (if you have one).
  3. EIN Evidence (EIN letter from IRS or prior filed business tax return, or some other evidence).
  4. S Corp Election and IRS Response (if you have it).
  5. Prior Business Tax Returns (all pages) including K-1s and State (all pages).
