Financial Planning Consultation

Posted September 15, 2018

WCG (formerly Watson CPA Group) offers fee-only financial planning including small business retirement plans in-person, telephone or Skype. We love to Skype- faces, inflections, all the good stuff for our long distance clients. Heck, even people in the same building seem to prefer a phone call or Skype.

Our fee is $150 for 30 minutes. If we decide to press forward with an engagement, we will credit the $150 towards future services.

We typically schedule a 20-minute complimentary quick chat with one of our Partners or senior Tax Professionals to determine if we are a good fit for each other, and how an engagement with our team looks. Tax returns only? Business advisory? Tax prep, and more importantly tax strategy and planning?

Should we need to schedule an additional consultation, our fee is $250 for 40 minutes. Fun! If we decide to press forward with a Business Advisory or Tax Patrol Services engagement, we will credit the consultation fee towards those services.

Appointments are typically held through Microsoft Teams and are scheduled on weekdays during the work day. Yes, we can easily accommodate nights and weekends, but those are reluctantly agreed to after some eye-rolling and complaining. Additionally, our schedules are more compressed during tax season (who would have thought, right?).

Shockingly we will return all appointment requests via email with 24-36 hours weather-permitting, or perhaps a phone call (if the moment strikes us). No black holes here! In a hurry, please call us at 719-387-9800 or use our chat service in the lower right corner or the button below.

Retirement and Estate Planning Consultation

Financial planning is much more than plugging a few numbers into a financial calculator or website and getting “your number.” A retirement checklist is nice, but it is only a tool in the financial planning toolbox. Retirement and financial planning is a comprehensive on-going process as the image to the right illustrates. Pretty pictures are just that.. let’s break this down and drill into some of the finer details. There are three major asset and wealth components-

  • Accumulation (fun and exciting part)
  • Preservation (tricky part)
  • Transfer (necessary evil part)

To be successful with each of these components requires financial planning, but beyond these considerations financial plans offer three exciting benefits-

  • Define Goals and Objectives
  • Create A Custom Blueprint
  • Measure Success

Engagement

It is challenging to discern when an interview BY the client turns into free advice FOR the client. And more importantly we are bound by the IRS, State of Colorado and our insurance provider to not engage in offering professional advice without an engagement agreement. Darn rules.

To set up an appointment, please call our offices or use the form below. Thank you in advance for time, and we look forward to working with you!
