Yes, and No. We typically will allow a laptop / iPad deduction since the nature of working as a pilot or flight attendant requires access to the internet while away from home (checking schedules, bidding, online training, weather, etc.). In addition several flight crewmembers are utilizing iPads and tablets to maintain their flight manuals, charts, company policies, study materials, etc. We recognize this as a necessary expense to your position as a pilot or flight attendant. This expense is also prorated depending the number of duty days you work in a year.
