Sumit was born in Bantwa, Gujarat, India, and brought up in Junagadh, Gujarat, India. As a kid, he was fond of watching and playing cricket. It was one of his favorite pastimes and something he always looked forward to.
Sumit attended Noble Commerce College in Junagadh, Gujarat, India, and graduated in 2019. HIs favorite subjects were Taxation and Accounting. He chose accounting as a profession because it’s not just a science based on specific principles; it’s also an art. The combination of fundamental standards and human creativity makes this profession incredibly interesting.
In his free time, he enjoys participating in sports like Cricket. He is also passionate about traveling and exploring new places, which allows him to immerse himself in different experiences.
Mohit grew up in Ahmedabad. As a kid, he loved playing chess and cricket.
He graduated in 2019 from Navgujarat College. His favorite subjects were Financial Accounting, Corporate Law and Audit. He finds personal satisfaction in helping businesses and individuals manage their finances effectively, ensuring compliance with laws.
Mohit likes to watch and play cricket. He also loves reading spiritual books and listening to English pop songs when he is not working.
Mitchell grew up with cold winters in Grand Forks, North Dakota, and Bemidji, Minnesota. He loved riding his bike, learning guitar, watching movies, snowmobiling, snow boarding, and playing video games.
After two years at the University of North Dakota and finishing his studies Bemidji State University, he got his BS in Accounting. He likes the idea of working with numbers and that everything has to balance. He choose accounting because he heard that accountants would be in high demand as the older generation retires.
Mitchell is married with four boys. The family moved to Colorado in the summer of 2021. They also have two dogs and a cat. In his free time, he has gotten into woodworking and furniture making. He enjoys hiking, listening to music and playing the guitar. He can even learn and play some complex guitar songs by ear.
Michelle grew up in Aurora, Colorado. She is the middle child of three. She was the official baker of the home, but also loved being outside and going to the creek with her brother to catch creatures for her mom.
She got her Bachelor’s degree from Regis University. Outside of her Accounting major, she also loved history and art. Her favorite accounting class was her Master’s degree program in forensic auditing.
Michelle has CPAs in her family and business majors. She has never known a year without April 15 bring circled on the calendar. Accounting for her is a puzzle that requires her to solve it and put the pieces together to create the finished product.
Michelle is a mother to five kids, who she’s raised on her own for the last nine years. She loves the garden and watching everything grow and mature. Being outside in Colorado is great. You can find her and the family camping, spending time at church on various activities and reading. She also LOVES to bake bread. Yum.
Kate grew up in Wyoming where she enjoyed playing basketball and riding 4-wheelers. She attended Western Wyoming Community College and got her Associates degree in Business Management. Afterward she attended Dakota Wesleyan University and received her Bachelors in Accounting. She loved (most of her) accounting classes but especially enjoyed history and political science classes.
Kate loves business as a whole, probably because both of her parents started small businesses and the family helped run them together! She had a passion for Accounting in school and loved the practical nature of it. She enjoyed seeing the way it turns up in daily life and how working in Accounting helps other small businesses like the one she grew up in. It’s no surprise she specializes in bookkeeping at WCG!
Kate is married to a wonderful man named Jake, and they have two dogs — a Corgi-Walker mix, and a standard long hair Dachshund. They love long stumpy dogs!
When she’s not working you can usually find her walking the dogs, swimming, or playing basketball and pickle ball. Kate and her husband are big sports fans, so they enjoy attending NBA games and professional women’s Soccer when they’re in season. Oh, and she’s in the process of pursuing her CPA license, so she’s pretty busy!
Can you do something that only a few people can do? “I can assemble several models of professional copy machines, mostly Toshiba, Ricoh, and Sharp.“
Karlee grew up in Maryland, then in northern, and southwest Minnesota through high school where she took her first accounting class as a Junior. She was dead-set on being an architect at that point. Ahhh how the turn tables. She went to Mitchell Tech College and enjoyed additional classes in accounting and Business Law (especially the mock trial).
Here at WCG she’s our go-to for all things QuickBooks and Payroll. She loves to do cleanups and QuickBooks consulting. “It’s like getting to do a puzzle (which I love puzzles).”
She’s been married to her high school sweetheart, Luke, and they have 3 daughters (Kyleigh, Peyton, and Evelyn) and 3 dogs (Zoey, Kato, and Gracie) along with lots if farm cats (not sure what their names are).
She plays volleyball in the winter, in summer she golfs, fishes, and camps, and in the fall it’s all hunting!
JoAnn grew up on a farm in Iowa. As a kid, she enjoyed building forts in trees and swimming at her cousin’s house. She is from a large family, so there was always somebody to play with. JoAnn started playing piano in 2nd grade and started playing at her church in 4th grade. She continued to play for her church until she moved from Iowa in 2010. She has played piano for hundreds of weddings and funerals.
She graduated from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa, with a degree in Business Management/Entrepreneurship and then later returned to the same university to get her accounting degree. Accounting seemed to come easy to her as her mother always kept the books for their family farm.
JoAnn married her high school sweetheart, whom she started dating her sophomore year. They have two grown sons, two daughters-in-law and three grandchildren.
When she’s not at work, she enjoys hiking (or maybe long walks in the woods). College football is her favorite season. Her favorite team is the University of Iowa Hawkeyes. She’s also a big fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. There’s football on their TV almost every day during football season.
Chelsea grow up in Platte, SD where she liked to ride four-wheelers, snowmobiles, and tubing on the lake! She graduated from Mitchell Technical Institute where she enjoyed her accounting classes.
Chelsea married her high school sweetheart and they have two boys together! When she isn’t working she takes part in a dart league called Pink Ladies — a non-profit organization and an all-woman league that holds fundraisers in the community for darts, raffles, golf and cornhole tournaments. All these events help raise money for local families with loved ones fighting cancer.
